This octagon shaped room sits just outside the main living room in this beautiful home and leads visitors and guests to the outside.
our goal was to create a summery room that felt as though one was sitting outside. We used a beautiful braided rug from Country Braid House, nationally recognized in several magazines, Located in Tilton, New Hampshire as our base. Using those colors, we painted the walls a gorgeous fuschia and enlisted the help of our faux painter to add draping floral and leaves from in the corners of the walls.
Wicker furnishings seems most appropriate and we hung an indoor swing as a surprise. Thick cushions with summery fabrics provided a soft experience and throw pillows in corresponding prints were added.
Floral graces the room and fills the iron bike and windowsills with greenery.
window treatments were kept light but we wanted to add an element of interest at the top and used rectangular twig pieces as a valance. dolls, sleeping pets, jugs and metal watering cans finished our room.
