"We are thrilled with the way the kitchen project turned out, and your thoughtful participation in that process.  It is a material improvement on the use of our space and has added to the enjoyment of our home life."

We were called to a vintage cape in a small NH town where portraiture artist, Teresa spinner and her husband live to discuss how to best use an addition they put on their home.  it was being used as office space, but what they lacked was a large, open kitchen to serve their many guests, a sitting space and dining room.  their small cape didn't have the space for entertaining, though they'd used it for years, it was time for good design.

In her 'blue period' as she described it, Teresa wanted blue cabinets with a dusting of yellow/gold for highlight.  she had pictures and from those we created custom painted cabinetry just for her.  the spinners now fully enjoy their new space.  there's seating around the fireplace, lots of dining space and a large island with custom features, all that fit into her post and beam addition.  the working counters in the kitchen wrap into the dining room for counter and glass front storage space.  see the artist herself pictured in her new dining room.

In the narrow hallway leading from the original house, we built custom closets with a combination of pull out storage and hanging space the spinners so desired.  the closets were painted with the same accents as the kitchen cabinets to match.

Custom work from our carpenter included replicating an existing antique bookcase and creating a hood over the stove.  inside the hood is a recirculating fan.
